Leah Perry

Hey, I'm Leah Perry.  I am a junior this year at Ropes and very actively involved with our band program.  I have been in high school band since the eighth grade, and I'm proud to have the title of drum major this year.  Just like every other kid at Ropes, I am involved in almost everything our school has to offer such as FFA, One Act Play, basketball, track, National Honor Society, and, of course, band. Even outside of school I'm busy with music. I sing and play bluegrass music with my band No Limit almost every weekend. With three consecutive sweepstakes already under our belts, we are striving for a fourth; which would create a tradition that I hope the band will continue for many years to come.  These sweepstakes, however; would be next to impossible to achieve if it weren't for the hard work and loyalty of our director Mr. Stephen Martin and his assistant Mr. Jay Sedberry.  Thanks a lot guys.  I'm looking forward to another great year of working with ya'll!!!!

Alexis Rhoades  

Hi! I am the sixteen year old daughter of Shannon and WenDee Rhoades. Even though this is my first year as a drum major I have been in high school band each year it has been available since I was in eight grade.  Just like any normal small town kid I am involved in many other activities besides band. Since my freshman year I have played on the Ropes Lady Eagles varsity team. I have also been actively involved in our FFA chapter and served as an officer for our chapter last year.  I am also a member of the student council at Ropes High School. As my first year as a drum major I am very nervous because I know I have some very big shoes to fill, but I am also very excited to continue the sweepstakes winning tradition we have started here. I am proud to be part of the class that has received nothing but sweepstakes since being a part of the Ropes eagle band, and intend to graduate knowing nothing else.  Lastly, I would like to say thank you to all of our supporters from not only the school but also from the community. Without all of you supporting us I do not think we would be where we are today. I look forward to seeing all of you at one of our performances this year!!
