The Eagle Band has made Ropes Eagle history by advancing to the Finals of the Area Marching contest for the first time in school history. The band marched down the ramp in Dick Bivins Stadium on the morning of October 27 ready to make a statement. The band not only made the finals, but was a solid contender for the top four spots that would eventually advance to the State Marching Contest. Congratulations band on reaching your goal of Area Finals and the continuation of building a tradition of excellence for the Ropes Eagle Band.

The Eagle Band is putting together an anthology of videos from the beginning of the band to the present. We have found many reels of film that we are planning on having restored and put on DVD. Footage includes marching shows from each decade dating back to the 1960's. The order form is now up on the web site for you to submit your order directly to the band. Due to the need to secure funding, we will need to be taking pre-orders before we can send the film to be restored. We will also have available cd's of UIL concert contest performances, even some dating back to the first Eagle Band. Please help us by e-mailing anyone that would be interested in purchasing a little bit of the Eagle Band History.

The Eagle Band has been featured in the first edition of a brand new National Publicized magazine. You can read the article at www.halftimemag.com or you can see the magazine by asking an Eagle Band student. Each student has received a copy of the magazine for their keeping.
